Rituparno Ghosh is amused and aghast at the suggestion that the IIFA this year is holding a workshop for the participants.

"There's no workshop at all! And I don't know why the organizers are calling it that! We're conducting what can be considered a symposium or a semimar to be chaired by Mrs Jaya Bachchan. It'll be attended by Deepa Mehta, (journalist) Carey Sawhney, Nandita Das and myself."

Ritu who has just returned from Cannes feels there should be more caution exercized in announcing events at such global events for Indian cinema.

"When people are given the impression that the participants will be trained to attend such an event, we are actually guilty of insulting the mehmaan. We've all attended several such global events and we know how to conduct ourselves, thank you."
