According to the reports, the makers have signed a deal with Amazon Prime and the streaming service is planning to release the film in the half of 2021. Earlier in November month, Sanjay Gupta, tweeted, "#MUMBAISAGA We are in the thick of final edits, VFX, BGM, SFX, DI Grading & final sound mixing. Everyday with every moment my team & I feel only one common emotion... MUMBAI SAGA BELONGS TO THE THEATRES. It's been solely & single heartedly made for the big screen experience!" Well, now, Sanjay has changed his mind as several big production films are also taking the OTT route amid the pandemic. Although, the cinema halls are open but with 50% occupancy which is affecting the film's box office collection.
For now, the Mumbai Saga star John Abraham is shooting for Satyameva Jayate 2 in Uttar Pradesh and now in January month, the actor will kick-off the shooting of YRF's action flick, 'Pathan'.
Mumbai Saga is an action crime film directed by Sanjay Gupta and produced by T-Series. The film stars an ensemble cast of John Abraham, Emraan Hashmi, Kajal Aggarwal, Suniel Shetty, Sharman Joshi, Prateik Babbar, Rohit Roy, Amole Gupte, Samir Soni, Gulshan Grover and Mahesh Manjrekar. Mumbai Saga filming was halted in March 2020 owing to the COVID-19 pandemic but resumed in June and wrapped in October 2020.
