Speaking on the occasion Amika said; "I have started baking quite recently. I learned it during my free time due to the lockdown. I tried baking various kinds of cakes, cupcakes, fruit cakes, vanilla cakes, plum cakes, etc. Our schedule otherwise is so hectic that it does not leave us time to pursue such interests. Truly, cooking is fun - just like science experiments in school - add a little of this and little of that and see the reactions. Plus, it has also helped me appreciate food better - I now understand the efforts and where food comes from and what it takes to get it to your table. Also when we watch how the ingredients looked like before and the final product after being cooked up, it gives an immense sense of satisfaction."
The singer turned actress also launched her own app on the android and the iOS platforms at the start of the new year. "The app gives me one more opportunity to connect with the audiences in an interactive manner. It is better than multiple social media platforms. I have started sharing exclusive content and updates there" says Amika.
Continuing the conversation on baking she says "This year I get to bake my own and eat it too! I always preferred eating fresh and wholesome food. Hence, I thought not to buy a cake from the bakery - because probably it is a day or two old and nothing beats the customisation that one may have when you make it at home; I like my Christmas plum cake with an overload of walnuts. Plus I like the aroma of baking - it's unbeatable!" said Amika as she signed off.
We hope that 2021 turns out to be a piece of cake for the actress.
