The film which was released in 2006 is now trending on Netflix's India. Spike Lee's film provides solid performances, a mixture of comedy, tension, and drama; and an engaging storyline. The strength of the film is its cat-and-mouse game, that keeps on taking turns outwitting one another.
Interestingly, the film featured the Bollywood song 'Chaiyya Chaiyya', composed by A. R. Rahman, which originally appeared in the 1998 Hindi film Dil Se. The song was featured during the opening credits of the film. A remix of the song, titled 'Chaiyya, Chaiyya Bollywood Joint' plays during the end credits and features Panjabi MC's added rap lyrics about people of different backgrounds coming together to survive.

Moving back to, Inside Man the film's plot for the sequel was intended to continue after the events of the first film, with Dalton Russell (played by Clive Owen) masterminding another robbery, and again matching wits with NYPD hostage negotiator Keith Frazier (Denzel Washington). In 2019, the film's sequel 'Inside Man: Most Wanted' was released direct-to-video and streaming on Netflix.
