A new year release on Amazon Prime Video, that is an adaptation of Charlie, a Malayalam film that released in 2015. The romantic drama is garnering great reviews from all over 240 countries and territories after its release on Amazon Prime Video. A successful adaptation that was delivered in a reimagined way. Maara stars R Madhavan, Shraddha Srinath in lead roles, and is said to be 'unique' than Charlie. Maara also became the first hit film of 2021!
4. Bodyguard
A 2011 film starring Salman Khan in a romantic action comedy written and co-directed by Siddique. It is a remake of director's own 2010 Malayalam film of the same name. The film went on being a big box office hit and having mind-blowing collections. Another successful remake with the same person on the director's chair that implied his vision.
These films leave an impression on cinema screens that will be untainted for eons to come. Setting a benchmark with such cinema, we are now on the lookout for more such successful remakes and adaptations. It's a tricky business but some have managed to sail through where Maara totally became the favourite of 2021 and a hit for the audiences and critics, alike. It can easily be hailed as the most awaited film of the year where R Madhavan came back to romance genre with the romantic musical drama.
