Those who had a glimpse of Sanjay Gupta`s Kaante at the IIFA Awards held in Malaysia recently were shell shocked to see Sanjay Dutt hurl Amitabh Bachchan with a row of abusive words. Audiences especially Bachchan fans wondered whether it was right for a man of stature to do such roles at all.
The press also reported that how Bachchan was visibly embarrassed on seeing the promo of the film at the function. And before the press could question him about it, he immediately added that it was Nargis Dutt who screen tested him for the first time. "And my decision to do Kaante was purely and emotional one. It is my way of paying back the favour they had done on me," he said. Songs of Kaante of also come into criticism saying that they did not make any sense at all.
