Priyanka Chopra is looking to expand her repertoire to avoid being typecast as an action star, a report said on Wednesday.
Chopra, a former Miss World, said she was keen to act in a historical drama after her recent run of action movies.
"I'm open to doing all kinds of cinema,'' she told a newspaper in an interview published on Wednesday. "I do not want to pigeonhole myself into any cinematic frame.''
Chopra, who made her Bollywood debut five years ago, is among the few Indian actresses to take on action roles.
Chopra plays a bodyguard adept at fighting with a sword in her new movie "Drona'' to be released later this year. She had an action-packed role as a mob member in "Don'' last year.
"I would like to be known as Priyanka the actor, as someone who can play any role with ease,'' she told the paper.
