"We've named it S2, meaning Shilpa Shetty. Cool, na? For now it's available in England. But will soon got to the Gulf and Russia."
Shilpa's family was with her for the aromatic experience. "My sister Shamita joined me and my parents for the launch," she gasps in pleasure from London. "Now I get busy with my restaurants."
She first wants to start with one restaurant in Central London and then establish a chain. "We'll probably start with one at Leicester Square...I've still not thought of a good name for my restaurant chain.
Some people have suggested Shilpa Shetty's Diner. I like the sound of Soul Curry. But neither has been finalized. Maybe we should've a world-wide contest to pick a name, ha ha"
After laughing hard and long she gets contemplative. "My restaurants in London should be identified with good healthy AUTHENTIC Indian cuisine. I'm afraid not all restaurants outside India serve real Indian food. All of us Shettys are foodies. So we'll all chip in with our mouth-watering thoughts."
Shilpa will be hands-on active in her restaurant business. "Whatever I do, whether it's the perfume, restaurants or my Bollywood staged musical, I want to put a hundred percent of herself in my international projects.
I can't take the success that has come to me after Bigg Brother for granted. My mother who's an astrologer had forecast this phase. I'm not going to disrespect my karma."
Shilpa had a ball at her birthday. "The IIFA organizers held it for me in a shopping mall. It was an out –of- the- world experience.
Unfortunately I could only stay for twenty minutes at my own party....there was so much to do at IIFA. But I was truly touched by the trouble they took, and by the fact that all my colleagues and friends from the film industry who were in Yorkshire either came or sent in their best wishes."
There was no doubt that Shilpa was the cynosure of all eyes at IIFA. According to eyewitnesses, hysterical mobs hounded her everywhere. But what about Salman Khan stealing away her guests for his own party?
Shilpa laughs, "Salman is a dear dear friend. Always has been. He had a party every night at Yorkshire. So it wasn't as if he planned one to coincide with my birthday and topple over my party? Please yaar!
Salman has always been very supportive. He has stood by me in my bad times, and I've been there for him when he was in trouble."
