The pioneer of musical talent shows, Gajendrra Siingh had been with Zee for around 14 years, but then somewhere the talent in him took a toll.

Speaking about the reason as to why this man quit Zee and his brainchild ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa', Gajendrra Siingh says, "I wanted to work as an independent producer for Zee. I had planned many other things, but they wanted me to work in house. They had left no option for me".

He might have left Zee and ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa', but Gajendrra has come up with a new concept of ‘Voice of India' for Star. Beginning from the audition, Gajendrra has changed the entire concept of the show.

However, he still says, "Nothing has changed in ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa', each frame and the dialogue are the same as I had written last year".

It is true, but known for coming up with new and newer ideas, Gajendrra have not carried forward the ideas of ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa' in here. The audition process has been made transparent by introducing auditions live in front of audiences. Even the SMS system has been changed.

The viewers here will not be given full authority to eliminate a contestant. "We will take 50% of viewers' decision and 50% judge's opinion," says Gajju (as people fondly call him).

This sincere director and producer has made his own stand in the reality show business and till now no other show could challenge his authority.

"The contestants had so much faith in me that they did not even audition for the other two competitions. I am also glad that my entire team has stood by me when I needed them," says this man. He also adds that he had never heard such talented singer ever in his life and this is the best talent that will be presented to the country.

Gajendrra hopes that this platform, which he wants to provide to the contestants, provides then the ladder for success in the contestants' lives.

Citing examples about contestants like Himani, Vinit, Hema Chandra, Gajendrra says, "All of them are doing well for themselves. We are not claiming to replace the existing singers. They are not replaceable, but we want to bring talents to the fore front".

When asked about the need for such singing talent shows, Gajendrra promptly replies, "A diamond needs polishing before it can sparkle. Otherwise it will always lie buried in the ground".

Yes, we do agree with you. If it hadn't been for thoughtful people like you, there might have been many talented singers gone for waste. Hats off to you!
