It seems Indians are marching really very fast to make a name in the western film industry. With Indian actors getting roles in
mainstream Hollywood films and with the likes of Naseerudin Shah and Irrfan Khan doing substantial roles in Hollywood
flicks.
Shekhar Kapoor had a successful stint with the 8 Oscar nominated film ' Elizabeth' and went on to win one Oscar. He
is also making it's sequel ‘Elizabeth: The Golden Age'.
And the recent scenario shows that Indian entertainers are making
their mark in the western circuit by organizing different kinds of functions like IIFA (Indian International Film Awards), world tour of
Indian Shows and other joint venture projects.
Now it's turn for our industrialist Anil Ambani's Reliance Entertainment company, which is venturing into producing English films in
UK. It can be termed as a big step in making Indian movie business globally recognized and they are putting in a whopping 40 million
pounds that comes to 320 crores in Indian rupees!
There is hope that they do a good job and as it is a lot of money by Indian
standards. We will make plenty of movies with that money and if the Bhatt camp makes a film with that money then it will come to
more than 64 movies.
Oops! Then it will take a lot of time for us to match their standards. But hope these joint ventures bring India recognition on a global
front. Everybody keep your fingers crossed.
