The legal notice prompted by the report in Mumbai Mirror about the Biapsha Basu arthouse film Pankh, questions White Feather on the plot about a child actor growing up in androgynous ambiguity being inspired by the life of the child actor Ehsaas Channa, a.k.a Ashish Channa.
Says Gupta, "The kid's mother Kuldip Kaur wants to know why we've borrowed her son's life. All I can say is, wait till Pankh is ready for the truth to be out. Since it our company's first arthouse film and also Bipasha's first experimental film Pankh is a very prestigious project for us.
After the success of Shootout At Lokhandwala, White Feather wants to do more reality-driven films. Pankh is one of them. We also have Alibaug which is more than partially inspired by my own life"
