Raashii Khanna, who stars as Dr. Maya in the Tamil comedy horror film 'Aranmanai 4', recently shared her insights on the different challenges faced in horror filmmaking. While acting in a horror film might seem daunting, Raashii believes that directing one poses a far greater challenge.

Raashii Khanna on the Complexity of Directing Horror

At a promotional event in Mumbai, accompanied by co-star Tamannaah Bhatia, director Sundar C., and producer Khushbu Sundar, Raashii discussed her experiences. She expressed, "I love watching horror films, so for the first time in 'Aranmanai 3', I observed how they are made. Acting in a horror film is not that tough, but directing one is very difficult."

Sundar C.: The Master of Horror Comedy

Raashii praised Sundar C., the director of 'Aranmanai 4', highlighting his expertise in balancing horror and comedy. "The captain of our ship, Sundar C. sir, is a master of this craft. He knows exactly what he wants and how to achieve it. In this film, both horror and comedy are strengths, with neither overpowering the other, making it the perfect horror comedy film," she stated.

An Ensemble Cast Delivering Laughter and Scares

Besides Raashii and Tamannaah, 'Aranmanai 4' features a talented ensemble cast including Sundar C., Santhosh Prathap, Ramachandra Raju, Kovai Sarala, and Delhi Ganesh. Raashii acknowledged the contribution of these actors, especially the comedians, saying, "Apart from me and Tamannaah, there are wonderful comedians who have done amazing work in this film."

Upcoming Projects for Raashii Khanna

As 'Aranmanai 4' gears up for its Hindi release on May 31, Raashii Khanna is already looking forward to several new projects. She has 'The Sabarmati Report', 'Telusu Kada', and 'Methavi' in the pipeline, showcasing her versatility and busy schedule in the film industry.

Conclusion: The Unique Challenges of Horror Filmmaking

Raashii Khanna's reflections offer an intriguing glimpse into the complexities of horror filmmaking. While acting in such films presents its own set of challenges, it is the directorial vision and execution that truly define the genre's success. 'Aranmanai 4', under Sundar C.'s expert direction, promises to deliver a perfect blend of horror and comedy, making it a must-watch for fans. As the film hits theaters, audiences can look forward to a thrilling cinematic experience.
