The Excitement of Voicing Riley
Ananya attended the special launch event of Disney and Pixar's fun sequel 'Inside Out 2' held in Juhu, Mumbai. During the event, the actress, who was last seen in the streaming movie 'Kho Gaye Hum Kahan', discussed the most appealing aspects of the movie and the challenges she faced in bringing Riley's character to life.
A Dream Come True for Ananya Panday
"It was like a childhood dream come true for me. Disney and Pixar have been a significant part of my upbringing. People often say these movies are for children, but as an adult, you realize there's so much more depth to them," Ananya explained.
The Human Touch of 'Inside Out 2'
Ananya further elaborated, "The most appealing aspect of the film is its humaneness. Every moment is filled with emotion. For me, it was a unique challenge. I have never done anything like this before. In my previous roles, I've always voiced myself and been deeply connected to the characters over months. Here, I had to portray a character whose backstory I didn't fully know, which was a significant challenge."
Challenges of Voicing a Child
"When they asked me to play Riley, I was worried because my voice had matured, and I no longer sounded like a child. Capturing the essence of a child's voice was tough. The main emotion I experienced while playing Riley was joy. To portray Riley convincingly, I had to keep my inner child alive," Ananya added.
Fun and Games at the Launch Event
During the launch, Ananya participated in a fun game called 'Spin the Wheel'. The arrow landed on the emotion 'envy', prompting Ananya to share a recent encounter with the feeling.
"The last time I felt envious was just last night. I was on a strict diet, and my friends were enjoying 'Butter Chicken'. The smell was tantalizing, and I was quite envious. They were indulging in 'moong dal ka halwa' as well, and I felt a strong pang of envy," she recounted.
Anticipation for 'Inside Out 2'
Produced by Disney and Pixar, 'Inside Out 2' is set to hit theaters on June 14. Fans eagerly await the film, excited to see Ananya Panday bring Riley's character to life with her unique voice.
