Papa Don't Preach's Shubhika Sharma Defends Uorfi Javed Amidst Backlash For The Collaboration

Uorfi Javed needs no introduction, as her outfits do all the talking. Recently, Uorfi Javed talked about the struggles of a newcomer to be able to let a designer lend their pieces with the fashion veteran Sandeep Khosla on her show 'Follow Karlo Yaar'. Despite establishing herself as a leading fashion icon, there is still chatter about her celebrity status and why leading fashion labels are styling her. One such instance happened when Uorfi was spotted wearing the Gracelyn set by Shubhika Sharma's Papa Don't Preach when an Instagram user criticised her for dressing Uorfi.

The brand wrote, `Uorfi pays us for our work because she knows how much hard work goes into building and running a brand, into designing and manufacturing ethically made clothing, how much ever sale counts-she knows this because she's built herself up from scratch.`

The brand claims that she's not got anything on a silver platter, and Uorfi has achieved what she set out to do on her terms despite the unsolicited opinions that people have. It added, `She pays it forward-to the brands, to the paps, to the artists who collaborate with her unlike most actors/celebrities/influencers on her feed. To me such is person is not just deserving of a `premium` brand but if utmost respect, and all the luxuries in the world.`

Uorfi Javed reposted the brand's story, writing, `Love you @shubikasharma.` Recently, Uorfi had a successful Reddit AMA, where she interacted with her fans and answered their curious questions. One of the Redditors asked her whether Uorfi pays her styling team.

She responded, `Ofcourse I pay each and every one, there is NO BARTER. I give them credit and also their rightful free (more than, If I can). I never make people work for free. Why do you think I don't have a Range Rover as yet?` As for her source of income, Javed's main source is social media.
