Renowned rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh, known for chartbusters like 'Brown Rang,' 'Blue Eyes,' and 'Angrezi Beat,' emphasized the importance of courage in his life and career while speaking at the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) in Abu Dhabi. Reflecting on his journey, the rapper shared insights on overcoming personal struggles and embracing new technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) in music.

Speaking to the media, Honey Singh attributed his success and resilience to courage. He said, 'You need courage to do everything in life. I belong to a very small place called Karampura in New Delhi. Today, I'm standing here at IIFA, a global event. What's bringing me back is courage.'

Honey Singh, who once dominated the Indian music scene, took a hiatus after being diagnosed with bipolar disorder. The rapper's struggle with mental health led him to take a break from the industry, but he eventually made a remarkable comeback. His return to the music scene is a testament to his determination and, as he put it, his courage to confront personal demons and thrive once again.

When asked about the rise of AI in music production and the arts, Honey Singh expressed excitement about the blend of technology and creativity. He praised the advancements AI brings, citing an impressive example of a Delhi-based musician, Anshuman Sharma, who used AI to recreate the voice of legendary singer Mohammed Rafi and the music of A. R. Rahman from the film 'Jodha Akbar.'

Talking about this innovation, Honey Singh remarked, 'The advent of AI, more so in music, is amazing, trust me. When I heard it for the first time, I was like, 'This is amazing'.' However, he also warned about the potential dangers of excess, stating, 'Whether it is AI, music, tech, computer science, alcohol, partying, the excess of anything is bad.'

During his conversation, Honey Singh also praised Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh, who has made waves internationally with his music and performances. Reflecting on Diljit's meteoric rise, Honey said, 'What Diljit has done, a guy from a Sikh family making it huge on the international level, is just something else. His courage, his caliber, and his passion reflect through his work.'

Honey Singh fondly recalled working with Diljit on the album 'The Next Level', adding, 'He hasn't changed at all. He is the same Diljit Dosanjh with whom I worked years ago.'

Honey Singh's journey is an inspiring tale of perseverance, self-belief, and courage. Despite facing mental health challenges, he has successfully returned to the limelight, continuing to inspire his fans and fellow musicians with his creativity and resilience. His openness to AI and admiration for his peers show his adaptability and respect for innovation in the music industry.

As Honey Singh continues to push boundaries, his story serves as a reminder that courage, creativity, and a strong support system can help overcome even the most difficult challenges.
