To portray her character authentically, Saiyami spent significant time at Mumbai fire stations, learning about the profession's technical and emotional challenges. She gained firsthand experience of their routines, mastered handling firefighting equipment, and participated in training drills.
Speaking about her preparation, Saiyami shared: "As an actor, with every film I've done, I've gotten to learn a new skill. I take immense pride in that'be it horse riding for Mirzya, counting notes like a banker for Choked, cricket for Ghoomer, and now firefighting for Agni! Spending time with real firefighters gave me an understanding of their immense sacrifices and the risks they take every day. I hope we've done justice to their commitment."
The actress also expressed admiration for female firefighters, noting their strength and determination in a traditionally male-dominated field.
Director Rahul Dholakia highlighted the significance of Agni as more than just a tale of bravery. He stated: "With Agni, I aim to celebrate the incredible bravery of firefighters while also exploring their emotional journeys. These real-life heroes risk their lives daily'not just battling fires but also responding to disasters and saving lives. Their sacrifices often go unnoticed, and this film is a tribute to their resilience and loyalty."
In addition to Saiyami, Agni features a stellar cast, including Sai Tamhankar, Jitendra Joshi, Udit Arora, and Kabir Shah. The trailer, unveiled last week, offered a glimpse into the world of firefighters and their selfless dedication to protecting lives.
Agni is set to premiere on Prime Video on December 6. Audiences can look forward to an emotionally charged and inspiring narrative celebrating the unsung heroes of society.
This marks another transformative role for Saiyami Kher, whose commitment to authenticity continues to captivate audiences.
