Film-maker Sanjay Gupta is tired of adaptations and ripped-off stories. So now he has decided to make an original sequel to his copied Kaante.

The film adapted from Reservoir Dogs, and starring Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Suneil Shetty, Mahesh Majrekar, Lucky Ali and Kumar Gaurav, did average business at the box-office. But that is of least concern to the director. He has gone ahead and even named the sequel, Saath.

In Hindi, Saath can be interpreted as 'togetherness' or the number '7'. Sanjay wants to pun with the word and he promises a "completely original script".

The final cast of Saath has not been decided yet. Suniel Shetty, Aftab Shivdasani and Sunjay Dutt are expectedly to be a part of the project but chances of Amitabh Bachchan reappearing are dim. Saath will be going on the floors early next year. Cheers to an original sequel!
