Around 2000 viewers are expected to throng the Somerset House here on August 9 for the world premier of Shah Rukh Khan-starrer 'Chak de India'.

The movie, based on the life of former India hockey goalkeeper Mir Ranjan Negi, will hit the theatres on August 10.

Shah Rukh, along with Vidya Malvade and other actors, will attend the premiere here. Director Shimit Amin and producer Aditya Chopra will also be there.

Shot at various locations in Australia, including Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, the film has already created enthusiasm among the fans.

"It is a great honour for London to host this launch event for a film, which, like so many Bollywood blockbusters, will touch the hearts and minds of millions across the world," said Mayor of London Ken Livingstone.
