Well, one outstanding feature that India possesses is University in Diversity. And it`s a feature that even the genre of entertainment has to cater to - sometimes it`s in the form of the film being dubbed in different languages or sometimes its in the form of the same subject matter being treated individually by two filmmakers in languages that suit them.

And the subject matter of `Devdas` conforms to the latter alternative. There`ll be two versions of the film - Sanjay Leela Bhansali`s `Devdas` and the Bengali version directed by Shakti Samanta. So, the natives of the City of Joy actually have to their disposal two apt alternatives...two `treats` (visual, may be) on one platter.
