My Style Quotient With his guy-next-door looks, Shayan Munshi has won a lot of hearts around the nation. He featured in Aryans indipop song "Yeh hawa kehti hai kya" and was also liked in the film, Jhankaar Beats. Shayan has walked the ramp for international designers like Calvin Klein and many more. He shares his fashion mantra with us.

Q: Where do you mostly shop from?
A: Mostly Dubai and London, when I am traveling on work. I seldom shop In India, but there are a lot of kewl stores in Bandra. I often visit Tommy Hilfiger, Nautica and Atria mall as it has some good shops.

Q: Any particular reason why you shop in Mumbai as well?
A: Good variety, lot of options and most importantly, by the time a collection from abroad is brought to India it becomes very expensive. And it's not worth shelling out so much when you know it's not worth it.

Q: Any specific brand you prefer?
A: I like Diesel, the fit and shades are amazing and it fits me well. There is a new brand of footwear in the market for monsoons called Crocs, I think that the range is very stylish and perfect for the monsoons. I am very sporty, so I love wearing a lot of sports apparel, shorts and cargos.

Q: Do you prefer adorning yourself with accessories?
A: Yes, I am very much an accessory guy. I pick up a whole lot of stuff when I am traveling. Silver rings, bone lockets, coconut shells. And sunglasses are a must while travelling. Diesel, Gucci, Cavalli have some amazing glasses.

Q: Which brand do you prefer for your footwear?
A: I keep experimenting, wearing chappals and slip-ons. I like alligator-style leather shoes. I am a huge fan of the Canadian brand Aldo.

Q: What is Shyan Munshi's definition of fashion?
A: Just be yourself, and if you can, find a combination between your personality and dressing. And stick to it.

Q: Which perfume do like most?
A: I guess Davidoff cool water is good. Euphoria, the new fragrance by CK, is also amazing, and so is Ice Man cologne by Thierry Mugler.

Q: Any particular diet you follow during monsoons?
A: Nothing special, I just avoid seafood, like crabs, prawns etc during monsoon as it might invite cause diseases.

Q: Which brand of underwear do you prefer?
A: Calvin Klein.

Q: What according to you are essentials in a wardrobe?
A: Jeans, a nice watch, and a pair of shoes that can go with jeans, cargoes, as well as semi-formals. Basically, it should go well with all kinds of wear. And a solid colour t-shirt is a must-have.

Q: Which brand of watches impresses Shayan Munshi?
A: I am not the kind of person who would spend lakhs on a watch, because I don't have that much money. I feel Tommy Hilfiger has some nice collection. My wife has gifted me this Citizen Navy Hawk; it's amazing but also complicated.

Q: Are you a gizmo freak?
A: Not much. I have only what is needed.

Q: What gadgets do you possess?
A: A DVD, Video Cam, and an I-pod.

Q: What is your most-priced possession?
A: My 1953, speed twin motor bike.
