"It is an important film for me because I have never done an all-out comedy," she said in the sidelines of the 9th Osian's-Cinefan film festival here. "I always wanted to experiment in this genre and I guess it's very necessary for me to do all kinds of films."
The 28-year-old actress, who is sometimes said to do her best acting in serious or art house cinema, is also working in two other commercial movies "Laaga Chunari Mein Daag", being directed by Pradeep Sarkar, and "Aaja Nachle" by Anil Mehta.
Konkona, whose acting skills in films like "Page 3", "15 Park Avenue" and "Omkara" received critical acclaim, said she had no expectations about how her films would fare when she joined cinema. "I just hoped that people like my films. Other than this, I had no expectations at all," she said.
The actress added that she and her mother, renowned actress-turned-director Aparna Sen, discuss about her acting from time to time. "When I act in my mother's films, I know what I have to do. She tells me specifically what she wants from me but for the films directed by someone else, we discuss about my acting."
