Bollywood star couple Abhishek and Aishwarya Bachchan in the company of film maker Mani Ratnam attended the red carpet special screening of their film 'Guru' at the 'India Splendor' celebrations in Los Angeles.

According to a release issued here, they discussed their experiences while filming the movie after the screening in a talk moderated by Patrick Frater.

On the occasion, Aishwarya said, ''I am happy to have had the opportunity to represent India on a global platform.

This film has extra special memories as I was working with Mani Ratnam who was also the director of my first film and my husband proposed to me at the premiere of this film.''

Abhishek, displaying his discomfort with the term Bollywood, said, ''After so many years of independence and the fact that the Indian film industry is the largest film industry in the world, it is inaccurate to merely term it a copy of another.''

The celebrity couple was full of praise for Ratnam as they unanimously stated, ''Just being given a chance to work under him was enough reason to agree to act in his movie.''
