/> It was so unexpected, Randeep Hooda nearly broke down and cried.

The unit of Ketan Mehta's Rang Rasiya shooting in the outskirts of Mumbai at Nitin Desai Studios in Karjat for the last one month, threw a surprise party last night to bring in Randeep Hooda's birthday.

Randeep is overwhelmed."I've never had a large party like this for my birthday. The entire unit from the actors to the light boys was there. They had arranged for a musical band and little coloured bulbs all around the set.

No I didn't sing and play. There were other people more equipped than me to do so. I felt as excited as a school boy. My director Ketan arranged all of this quietly. I'll never forget the trouble he took."

The whole unit had fun till the wee hours."We danced, and we drank ourselves silly. The only problem was we got up this morning to work at 9 with a heavy head. But it was worth it."

Another touching gesture."My parents sent me flowers all the way from Rohtak to Karjat. I don't know how they managed it!"
