Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, who also holds the finance portfolio, said because of its marvellous quality and restraints shown by the characters in the film, it deserves to be freed from entertainment tax.
He said the government was planning to lift entertainment tax from 'Chak De India' so that more and more people especially the youths could enjoy it.
Mr Modi, who had enjoyed every scene of the picture had all praise for its director Shimit Ameen, said the director had shown his patriotism in this film.
Shah Rukh Khan, in the lead role as the inspirational coach, is the big plus in the film.
The idea for removing the tax from the picture emanated in his mind when he was watching it, said Mr Modi.
'Chak De India' has special links with the state of Bihar as one of the prominent character among the 11 players of the women's Hockey team, Shilpa Shukla originally belongs to Hajipur in Vaishali district.
Shipla Shukla, who was educated in Delhi was earning name, fame a glory for her acting.
Mr Modi said the gritty pace and marvellous restraint made 'Chak De India' was an unbridled ode to patriotism.
