The film tells the story of Sabhyata, a strong and independent young woman who marries into a deeply traditional family and dares to challenge its regressive practice of ‘Kori Pratha’. What follows is a powerful clash between Sabhyata and her father-in-law, played by Raj Babbar - the village head who staunchly upholds age-old customs. At the heart of this conflict, stranded is her husband, portrayed by Akshay Oberoi, torn between love for his wife and loyalty to his family’s beliefs. As the battle between tradition and change intensifies, Sabhyata must find the courage to fight not just for herself, but for every woman silenced by unjust norms.
