The phenomenal success of "Chak De, India" at the box-office has not only inspired budding sportspersons, but also the makers of television serials.

Producer of "Left, right, left" Diya Singh says: "We have always had this character named Pooja, played by Gazal Rai, who has a hockey background. Pooja is shown as a rebel who wants to run away from the academy.

Back at her home, she comes upon an incident when a hockey player is ill-treated by the coach. This enrages her and she decides to form her own team."

The story goes on to show how Pooja's team wins a match against professional hockey players. The victory makes her realize the discipline and the determination that the academy had imbibed in her.

Diya admits that the inspiration for the episode came from the movie "Chak De". "We all thought about it, nobody in particular," she says. The episode will be telecast this week.
