Directed by N.Chandra, the movie is an amalgamation of many stories, Smilie being the thread that joins all of them together. But given a chance this pretty girl would rather be practicing for the Olympics. Not as a sportsperson, but as a dancer.
"I love to dance. Had "Kalyug" not happened, I would have gone for the Olympics since Latin Ballroom Dancing has been declared a sport," said Smilie, one of the favourite students of Sandip Soparrkar. "Even now, if given a chance I would love to participate in the Olympics. Sandip is ever ready to give me the extensive training required for it," she added.
Not many know that the talented lass was the lead dancer of the Shiamak Davar Dance Troupe and is an expert in Latin Ballroom, Jazz, Ballet and modern dancing. At present, Smilie is learning Kathak from Guru Vijayashree to enhance her understanding of Indian classical dance and imbibe it in her acting.
Although it seems Bollywood blocks her way to the Olympics right now, this twinkle toes knows another way to realize her dreams. "My dream role in a film would be that of a dancer," the actress signed off.
