When asked if he was pushing himself too hard, Suniel smiled: "Although I ended up with a frozen shoulder, I think it was imperative for me to show my solidarity on stage with the kids (the contestants of the reality show).
I think what the winners, Sandeep Sachndev and Natasha Grover, have achieved goes beyond the gimmicks of reality shows. Sandeep lost 56 kgs. Another contestant Ajay Nagrath lost even more weight but got eliminated in the challenge round."
Sandeep and the other contestants' transformation on the show gives Suniel a great high. "After losing weight, Sandeep looks like an Italian star. My company is planning to sign him for a film.
I want to ensure that the contestants benefit the utmost from the new lease of life they have got. It's not just at the gym-level that I have bonded with these kids. We've an emotional bonding now," said the Bollywood star.
The second season of "Biggest Loser Wins" is slated to start early next year and the action hero promises to be back to anchoring the show.
"So what if it takes up eight months of my life? To give a new lease of life to people who are often on the verge of giving up gives me a sense of fulfillment I can't describe in words," said an emotional Suniel.
The actor's commitment to health and fitness has proved that he is indeed best-suited to be the ambassador of Indian hockey.
