Kirron Kher's real parents will make their first big screen appearance in the title montages of journalist-turned-filmmaker Pammi Somal's "Mummyji". Some of the scenes were shot in the actress' home in Chandigarh.

Was this for authenticity?

"Not really," said Pammi, "it was more for sentimental reasons. I lost my parents a few years back and I felt having Kirron's parents in the film would be like having my own parents in my first film."

When she suggested that Kirron should make tea and bring to the garden or do some dusting, her mother chuckled like a typical mother and said: "You are making her do everything that she never did in reality. Kirron never did any domestic work."
