Since Karan believes rakhi is a sacred thread which must not be tied just for fun, he even screamed at Himani stunning the entire unit and studio audience.
But that incident was much better compared to what Karan faced in the inter-college championship special. While shooting the opening song, some college girls had to take off Karan's coat as part of the scene. But with the mischievous Himani egging them on, the girls got completely carried away.
They ended up stripping Karan to the point of embarrassment. It was only when some of the production guys came to his rescue that Karan was let off.
The singer-anchor is yet to overcome the shock. "I am really shocked. I know there are men who like to show off their macho physique, but I am not comfortable doing so. I am just wondering why is it me all the time, am I that gullible?" says the singer. Karan is further upset with such incidents on the sets because he, on his part, never plays pranks on anyone, not even on Himani.
The audience, however, had a ball as Karan's clothes came off, with loud cat calls coming from them. Initially, Karan was too stunned to react.
"I was frozen and after the shot I went directly to talk to the director. But it was appalling to hear that they were not going to edit the scene. Reason: it was the opening song and they were reportedly running short of time to re-shoot the whole thing," rues Karan.
All said and done, Karan still wants to carry on with the show. "No, I can't say that I am unhappy with the show, such things do happen. I can't forget the kind of response I have got from the show, especially when I am on tour with my band. I just don't want such pranks to be aired."
And if you thought Karan is shying from showing off his body because he isn't confident enough, here's what he has to say to change that view.
"I am ready to show off my body, but only if it's required and I am not feeling apprehensive about the scene. If a movie similar to "300" is made, I am more than willing to bare my six-pack abs." Is some film-maker listening, please?
