Ram Gopal Varma may be getting the brickbats from one and all for his latest box-office disaster "Aag". But he
has one loyalist who stands by him in rain and shine – actor Rajpal Yadav.
"For all of you, that
person must be a waste and you will all make fun of him. But for me, he is gold and will be so all my
life.
It is because of him that I am here. How can I demean my mentor because of whom I got an
identity?"
Rajpal, who debuted in Bollywood in RGV's "Jungle", played a character named Rambha Bhai in "Aag". When
asked whether he regretted working in the film, the actor said: "He (Ramu) may have made a mistake but I
think the media is also to blame to some extent.
He was the one who gave me a platform. I have
immense respect for him and whatever he makes I will always be with him and also try to be a part of his
projects."
Somebody needs to tell Rajpal that in the professional world ignoring all the mistakes of
the mentor might spell trouble in the long run.
