"Yeah, Ma insisted that I do the two Yashraj films, the banner being what it is and all that. Also, let me tell you Ma thinks Raima Sen suited the role far better than me. It's a lovely role where Raima has to express herself through her silences.
No regrets because working with Anil Mehta in Aaja Nachle and Pradeep Sarkar in Laga Chunri... has been a great learning experience. And to work with Madhuri in Aaja Nachle is something I'd never forget."
Konkona has so far been in all her mom's films since Mr & Mrs Iyer.
"Yes. And I felt so left out when Ma conducted workshops for The Japanese Wife in my house in Mumbai. I'd be peeping from behind the curtain enviously. I'd even join in a couple of times just to feel a part of it.
But let's be practical. It's impossible to be in all her films. We've our individual careers. And it would be silly of her to fit me into every film just because I'm her daughter."
