Beauty is not always a blessing, as the new show on STAR Plus will have us believe. 'Sapna Baabul Ka...Bidaai', a prime time daily on the channel, is a presentation by a new production house, Director's Kut.

The story revolves around a motherless girl, Sadhna, and her struggle to come to terms with her own beauty, that follows her around like a curse. Her best friend is her cousin, Ragini, who is unlike Sadhna in every respect, including physical attributes.

Sadhna's father works abroad, and his one dream to see his daughter's bidaai. She stays with her maternal uncle and aunt, and the latter hates her for her beauty.

The serial will see veteran actors Alok Nath, Vibha Chabbir, and Mahesh Thakur, get together. Newcomers Sarah Khan and Parul Chauhan play Sadhna and Ragini, respectively.

The show will begin on October 8, on STAR Plus.
