Tabu, painter M.F. Husain`s new muse, is giving her all to the film that the octagenarian artist has launched. Nothing wrong with that until you realise that the actress is losing out on many meaty assignments in the bargain. Tabu`s decision to dole out all her dates to Husain has led to her putting "best friend" Madhur Bhandarkar`s project on the backburner. That surely can`t be a good career move.

We all know how accommodating Tabu can be with a film close to her heart. After having shed kilos for Husain`s film, she even spent an entire day at a studio getting herself painted by the artist. It is dificult to fathom who the obsessed one is, but aunt Shabana Azmi cannot figure out why her niece has chosen an abstract film over a host of other big projects. Tabu`s rivals aren`t complaining though. They have grabbed all the roles that she has decided to sacrifice.

Tabu defends herself thus: "They (the filmmakers) say I am not saleable enough. To hell with the dictates of the market. I`d rather be content with what I have." Fine, but your contentment could lead to your fans` discontentment, Tabu!
