The last time that producer-director Prakash Jha had worked in television was as producer of the side-splitting comedy "Mungerilal Ke Haseen Sapney", which gained much popularity.

On the big screen, he has films like "Apaharan" and "Gangaajal" to his credit. Jha's production Sudhir Mishra's "Khoya Khoya Chand" is slated for release this year.

Now, Jha is making a comeback on television with "Baahubali", with Mukesh Tiwari, Mohan Joshi, Chetan Pandit, Daya Shankar Pandey, Vishnu Sahrma and others in its cast. The mahurat shot was recently taken by the show's director Anshuman Kishore Singh in the presence of Jha.

Forty episodes of the serial have already been canned. While "Bahubali" will go on air next year, Jha is also planning to revive the Mungerilal series. Hope the latter has the simplistic flavour that Jha had given it the last time.
