'Indian Idol-3' finalist - Amit Paul will sing a duet with Eric Martin, the voice of former international rock band 'Mr Big' to serenade music lovers on October 27 here.

The concert-- ''Festival of Rock: Shillong'', is slated to be held at Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Complex. The event has been scheduled to coincide with the inauguration of the annual Autumn Festival and the Guinness World record attempt for the largest Guitar ensemble to begin the previous day.

''I am delighted to sing a duet with the legendary singer Eric Martin. I am waiting for the day,'' Amit Paul told.

Amit is likely to sing duet of probably two numbers - the super hits of 'Mr Big' ''To be with you'' and ''Wild World''.

''We are finally going to tour India. All that wonderful food and fantastic people, I cannot wait,'' said Eric Martin, lead vocalist of the American band on their official website.

The capital of Meghalaya, known for its passion for Western music, has emerged as a 'hot' destination for international music bands with recent performances by 'Petra', 'Fire House' and 'Michael Learns to Rock' (MLTR).

''The artistes are very excited to come here and perform as they have heard a lot about Shillong and its music-loving people from C J Snare the lead vocalist of famous American band Firehouse,'' Director of the Centre Point Entertainment Network Larsing Ming said.

The concert is aimed at providing the music-loving public of the North East with the pleasure of experiencing world class concerts featuring international music bands as well as giving the people a platform to interact and perform with these musicians, Ming said.

Eric Martin began playing for the rock group Kid Courage in San Francisco, California, and then for Stark Raving Mad in Santa Rosa, California.

Martin would arrive here with his four-member band Billy Sheehan, Pat Torpey Paul Gilbert on October 24.
