"I'll be going on a holiday abroad with Dharamji. That's my long-due birthday gift. We would've been gone for my birthday. But some work came up, so we had to postpone it. But we're definitely going."
Does the promised vacation make this birthday happier than others?
"Oh certainly!" exults the Dream Girl. "But I must say to his credit that Dharamji makes it a point to be here for all my birthdays.
He was here this time too. Our two daughters were also with us. Fortunately Esha wasn't shooting out of town this time. What more more could I ask for? They threw a small private part for me on Tuesday, only for very close friends and family.
I'm a very private person. I like to be with just the people I'm comfortable with. Maybe that's why I come across as standoffish to people who don't know me. I'm not snobbish,I'm shy."
In her unguarded moments Hema talks about the lack of time with her life -companion.
"But I've no regrets. I look at the positive side. Whenever Dharamji has time he spends it with us. He has other responsibilities and I shouldn't complain. And he's a very very good father."
So how did the birthday begin? "I started the day by watering all my plants. When I saw my orchids smiling, I felt happy. Nothing makes me happier than being close to Mother Earth....unless it's Dharamji."
