Sonam who has just recovered from a stye in her eye was not well enough to brave the barefooted walk to the temple.
Says Sonam, "We went at 5 in the morning for the first aarti. hoping no one would be there. When we reached there were a thousand photographers and fans waiting for us. I've no clue how they knew. I've walked to Siddhi-Vinayak before, but not this time. It's really beautiful out there. I specially loved the aarti. "
The butterflies in Sonam's stomach are growing bigger. "We need all the prayers right now. Because Saawariya is not a typical film. Of course it has loads of songs and dances. But the presentation is so delicately classical. My character is so quiet and withdrawn we needed eight songs to bring me out."
Ranbir who accompanied Sonam to Siddhi-Vinayak, walked most of the way. "But I couldn't make it bare feet. I had my chapals. I'd have loved to," confesses Ranbir. "I had my best friend Binoy and of course Sonam with me."
Ranbir isn't a very demonstratively religious person. "But I've walked to Sidhi-Vinayak before. That was when I had got admission in a college in the US. But now I guess I'm going through a much bigger test.
