The crew has been seen shooting the actor not only at his shootings, but also at various other spots such as his acting school and the charitable instititutions that he works for.
Explains Anupam, "This is a documentary that the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation is making on my life and craft.
I've been shot on a camera as an actor. But to be trailed by a camera as I live my life in real, is a disturbing experience. Do I get selfconscious on live camera?
At first I did. But now I try to forget about the camera's presence and behave as I would if it (the camera) wasn't around."
The crew for the Anupam documentary as so far shot the actor working for Ekta Kapoor's C Company and for Ashok Amritaraj's The Other End Of The Line.
"Two very different films. One is a spoof on gangster films. The other is a trans-Atlantic cross-cultural love story. I play the heroine Sriya Saran's father. The important part of this documentary is that it attempts to see me in different lights.
I feel our industry doesn't realize the importance of documentation and archival recording. We keep working without caring about posterity. Where are the books and films on Mr Dilip Kumar who's unarguably our finest actor?"
