Debutante director Anand Rai has been in the news a lot for his movie, 'Strangers', which releases on December 7. However, not many people know that Anand Rai has been a television director, and that Irrfan Khan and he have been friends for some time now.

According to a source, Irrfan was Rai's first choice for the movie, given the relationship. And Irrfan had agreed instantly. The source adds that the trouble started when Irrfan demanded changes in the same script that he had always known about and agreed to.

This was unacceptable, as far as Rai was concerned, and that is now the end of yet another relationship in Bollywood. With international acclaim and fame, Irrfan is on another level at present, although, as this case illustrates, he may not always get his way.

'Strangers' will be presented by Sahara One Motion Pictures.
