Mahesh Bhatt: "The gold fish has no hiding place. Stardom too has a price tag. These are occupational hazards. I stand by her in this hour of her crisis. She must talk to the commissioner of police.
Divya Dutta: "My heart reaches out to Aarti. Thankfully I've always got wonderful neighbours. In fact they're a major support system. But people in showbiz do come across people who'd do anything for attention."
Kangana Ranaut: She shouldn't fight back. Remember what Gandhiji said? Love them even if they hate you. And if the opponent turns out to be too dirty then ignore such creeps.
There are some people who harass you for attention. And the more you ignore them the more persistent they get. But ignore them. They'll get tired and move on to some other victim.
Mona Singh : "Personally I've never encountered such a situation. Those around me have always been supportive and warm, though never over-friendly.
Were Aarti is concerned this seems to be case of malicious intention and the neighbout wants to attract attention to herself. There're unfortunately some people who can't stand other people' success.
Malaika Arora: "It is ridiculous. The neighbour sounds like a failed frustrated actress."
Tusshar Kapoor: "I've worked with Aarti. I am taken aback by this incident. No one deserves to have his or her space invaded."
Minissha Lamba: "The maximum harassment I've experienced is my car being scratched by some boys in my neighbourhood. We all go through harassment in one way or another. Most people don't have adequate means of fighting it or a strong support system to withstand the attack."
Sammir Dattani: "Why are we only talking about females getting harassed? A lot of men and not just celebrities, get harassed, even 'adam-teased'. When a girl gets pinched we raise a hue and cry.
What about guys getting pinched, and rubbed in the wrong places? I've had women calling me up non-stop and from different numbers to confuse me."
Vaibhavi Merchant: "I think Aarti's neighbour needs a shrink. Such behaviour is totally uncalled for. People can be ruthless and unnecessarily judgemental specially in their opinion on celebrities. We seem to have lost a sense of compassion for ourselves and for others."
Raveena Tandon: "Celebrity harassment is something I've faced only once, and that too on the airport when I came back from London once at the peak of my career.
Two customs officials grilled me for two hours when all I had brought back from London was cheese and soup. I couldn't understand why they were doing this.
A few days later a female friend of mine who works on the airport overheard two guys talking about how they detained Raveena Tandon for two hours just to chat up with her.
Fortunately this is the only bad experience I've had on the airport. The staff has otherwise been extremely co-operative and courteous. But yes, people in the limelight do get targeted for harassment.
Unlike Aarti, I've never had intrusive bullying neighbours. I've been very lucky to have good neighbours. And I believe I've been a good neighbour to them."
Sophie Chowdhary: "I don't really know Aarti. But it's sad if anyone has to deal with that kind of harassment in this day and age. Unfortunately because of the conduct of a few actresses there're a pre-conceived notions about all of us.
People are shocked when they hear about my family background and that I'm an LSE graduate because according to them glamour disqualifies you from a distinguished or intelligent background. I had a huge problem buying property in Mumbai.
Eventhough my family was with me and I was looking at posh property I was perceived as party girl who stays out all night. That, as any reputed actress will tell you is a myth."
Neil Mathur: "I think it's really sad if Aarti is being harassed. Luckily for me I've never been subjected to such behaviour."
Priyanka Chopra: "By God's grace I've never been harassed the way Aarti has. I think it's terribly wrong for Aarti's neighbour to behave in this way.
By making such a public display of her animosity the neighbour is making her intentions quite clear. It's decent of Aarti to restrain from maligning her neighbour back.
For the neighbour to launch such an indecent attack on Aarti is ghastly. I hope Aaarti gets through this. All my support is with her. And with girls in the industry who get targeted for nothing.
