After the news that Shaan would no longer anchor ‘Voice of India' owing to his various commitments, comes the news that his successor would be none other that one of the most favourite contestants on the show.

Abhaas Joshi would now anchor ‘Star Voice of India-Chottey Ustad', which is meant for kid contestants.

It can be recalled that Abhaas was one of the last three finalists on ‘Star Voice of India' as a contestant and now can be considered a familiar face on television.

Being the youngest of all the participants, Abhaas was a clear favourite with the judges.

Said Shaan confirming the news, "The host has already been selected. Abhaas Joshi is going to take over. He is just 17 years old and looks like a kid himself.

He would therefore gel very well with the young participants. Also not to forget he is very talented. He always remained judges' favorite and was also very consistent."
