After a series of comedies, Sharman Joshi has decided to act in a movie that shows a more intense side, much like his debut film in 1999, 'Godmother'. The film is 'Allah Ke Bande', and it also stars Naseerudin Shah.

This is the first time that the two actors are working together. The plot revolves around children in a prison and their problems, and is directed by debutant Farukh Kabir.

Sharman has already had his share of problems on the set. Recently, there was a routine check by the Association, where all junior artistes had to produce their membership cards.

Sharman did not complain, however, when he had to wait for the checking to get over. That is what makes him a star.
