First Cezzane Khan who played Anurag Basu made a royal exit from ‘Kasauti Zindagi Kay'. He was followed by Prerna (Shweta Tiwari) who also quit the show to join Bhojpuri movies. Now the once No.1 prime time soap is all set to be go off air.

So what went wrong with the show? We contacted Ronit Roy a k a Mr Bajaj who was busy with ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa' till not very long ago.

He said, "It feels really sad when first-rate shows like ‘Kasauti' ends but I can't tell you the reason behind the show's closure as I am just playing a character in it. If you want to know the real reason behind the closure then you should contact our boss Ekta.

If she has taken the decision to end the show then I can't say anything about it. Shweta's decision to quit the show is not the reason behind ending the show.

If she has decided to quit the show, it is her decision and the show has nothing to do with it."

Ridhi the creative head of Balaji was not ready to talk about it either. She said,"We don't have the permission to talk about this and if you want to know then you can contact Ekta or Shobha Kapoor". Ekta Kapoor on her part was unavailable fro comment.

The show will be replaced by Ekta Kapoor's new show ‘Kar Lo Sapney Purre' where Ekta Kapoor's close friend Anita Hassnandani will be playing the lead role of ‘Lali' a village girl who hails from Haryana's Rewadi and comes to Mumbai to become a actress.

This soap is about four girls who migrate to the city from villages to fulfill their dreams. But then this show will be seen on Star but on Sony.
