He may have fought against the Britishers against the teen guna lagaan but when it comes to paying taxes to the Indian Govt, the star turned out to be a lead income tax payer. And appreciating his gesture, the Indian government felicitated Aamir Khan along with the top 50 tax-payers in India.

"There are many more people who also pay tax, but their contribution is not recognised like mine. I would like to share this certificate with them," says Khan, adding that, "The tax laws should be simplified. That way, I can get rid of my chartered accountant." Aamir for sure has set an example for the rest of Bollywood. Pay your `Lagaan` on time!
