But now having worked with Kay Kay Menon in Anurag Basu's Metro and more specially with Bobby in Shaka Laka Boom Boom Kangana has finally found a comfort level on screen that's been denied to her so far.
"I can't pretend about this. Bobby is indeed a really reliable and helpful co-star. In fact one of the best things about doing Shaka Laka Boom Boom was Bobby. He's so sober and dignified...A contrast to some of the show-offs around."
Even though Shaka Laka bombed Kangana and Bobby are all set to be seen together in a new film to be directed by Samir Kyun Ho Gaya Na Karnik.
Says Kangana, "Don't you love the title Roshni? After doing two dark films at the beginning of my career at last some light," she jokes.
Kangana brightens up even more while talking about Bobby. " He has already worked with Samir Karnik in that film with that child (Nanhe), just like Bobby had worked earlier with Suneel Darshanji when I joined the team in Shaka Laka Boom Boom.
I feel no fear of the unknown when I've a positive co-star to support me. Did Bobby recommend me for Roshni? I don't know. I hope he did.
I just got a call from Samir. I loved my role and the script. And I know the producers (Eros Entertainment) are going to put in their entire efforts to market the movie properly. That's why this is the only film I've signed this year."
Isn't Kangana being too picky? "I've no choice but to be choosy. After Gangster and WohLamhe and soon in Metro people want to see me in performing roles. In Roshni Bobby and I have intense roles. It's an intimate performance-oriented film. Watch me go with Roshni to film festivals next year."
