Ordinary guy Anthony Gonsalves dreams of becoming an actor. Working as a bartender in Jimmy's Pub in Mumbai, his job is to manage the business smoothly.
But unknown to him, the pub is a front for illegal activities for his bosses, Sikander, Maqsood, and Riyaaz.
Sikander cared for Anthony since childhood and has always protected him from drugs and gangsters.
Anthony has always looked up to Sikander and for Sikander, Anthony has always been the little brother he never had.
One fine day, Anthony meets Riya Pereira at the local church and it is love at first sight. As love blossoms so does his luck - Anthony finally gets selected for a part in a stage production after numerous auditions.
But when Anthony rushes to Sikander 's bungalow, to give him the good news, he inadvertently becomes a witness to a crime committed by his bosses.
Inspector Khan is assigned the murder case with Anthony and the gang being the prime suspects.
Meanwhile, Maqsood and Riyaaz think that Anthony is the person who reported them to the police much to Sikander's disbelief.
So what follows next is a cat and mouse chase to find the real culprit in this action packed thriller typically that of the 70s style Bollywood masala movies.
My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves is the story about friendship between two diametrically opposite characters, Anthony and Sikander.
Friendship, loyalty, love, career, truth, morality, all come into play, as Anthony is forced to choose between Sikander and his dream of becoming an actor.
