The leading man Salman Khan, in and out of various crisis throughout 2007, has miraculously managed to almost complete Boney's film in record time.
"I always had full faith that he would," says Boney emotionally. "We never panicked because of Salman's troubles. We knew he'd make it."
Now the star has taken off for London to get his statue waxed in Madame Tussaud.
Boney's unit awaits Salman's return before shooting resumes, this time in Chennai.
Explains Boney, "As it is, everything in Tamil Nadu was closed for Pongal. So I'd say Salman's visit to London was well-timed. We now have just a portion of the talkies and some songs and then we're done."
Boney is also enthusiastic about making the sequel to No Entry in 2008. "With Welcome doing so well I'd like to bring back the No Entry characters."
Also on the anvil is a vehicle for Boney's gorgeous wife Sridevi. "We're working on it. But it has to be something that takes Sri beyond where she left her career."
The little appearance that Sridevi made in Halla Bol was a teaser trailer for the audience.
Informs Boney, "We did that only because the producer requested us to do a scene where we give Ajay Devgan an award. We didn't even want it to be written about. When Sri comes back it will be done in a way that will do her proud."
