A: Well I got a call from Dharmeshji, he must have liked my work and here I am.
Q: So what made you do this film?
A: I really liked the story and my character.
Q: Is this movie a comedy, romantic story or a thriller?
A: This is a romantic movie.
Q: Post ‘Jhalak' you are considered as dance diva, then suddenly films, why?
A: It's not sudden change because I have always been doing acting. The medium must have changed, but acting is where I belong to. Maybe due to ‘Jhalak' people saw the other side of me.
Q: Were you following ‘Jhalak' this time?
A: No, I wasn't following, but I am aware who won and just want to congratulate her.
Q: So what kind of preparations are you doing for this film?
A: Nothing special, like in the small screen we just have to learn our lines and act in front of the camera. Only the size is different.
Q: What is your role and who are your co-actors?
A: I cannot reveal much presently. It's a film involving the story of four people - me, Sangeeta, Ezaz and Manav.
Q: Going Bollywood means saying bye bye to the small screen...
A: Well, right now I just want to concentrate on the films and don't want to do anything else.
Q: If you get an offer for an item number, will you do it?
A: If I like the film and the whole concept of the song, I will go for it. I have no hang ups.
Q: Is marriage on the cards?
A: How can it be when I have so many things to do already?
Q: Don't you think that the scenario has changed and now it's really difficult for small screen artists to make it big in films?
A: I don't think there should be any problem. If people have liked me as an artist on the small screen I don't think they will have any apprehensions in accepting me as a film artist. The bottom line is that I am an actor regardless of the medium.
Q: When is this film going to be released?
A: I think the film will be hitting the screens in the second half of 2008. -Saakshi Tiwari
