There would have been no dearth of roles for Tamil actor Rajinikanth's daughter had she chosen to follow in his
footsteps.
Instead Soundarya Rajinikanth became a filmmaker and is now making "Sultan - The Warrior," a 3-D animation
project that features her superstar father in the role of an armour-clad warrior.
"I have always been (a) behind-the-camera person," said the 23-year-old. "I'm more the director than the
actor."
"So, do I see myself in front of the camera? No. But never say never, let's see what happens later."
Directing a full-fledged Bollywood film remains one of her dreams and Soundarya said her favourite genre is fantasy
- with supernatural settings, exotic lands and make-believe creatures.
"I really, really want to direct a film on fantasy," she said. "It fascinates me."
